Quaycuisine Cookery School was founded by Julie Hudson in 2006, set in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, the home of International Yachting. Through Quaycuisine Julie realised that there was a need for a high quality, intensive course to train potential staff and members of the public how to cook.
"We have had a lot of demand from those who want to take their cooking a little bit further so we have created a 6 day intensive introduction to catering, covering all aspects of practical cookery. This cookery course provides students with an excellent grounding in essential cookery skills providing a basis for day-to-day cooking.
Our course is based around fundamental cookery techniques and methods that can be applied whether you're working in a professional kitchen or entertaining at home. If you want to improve your cooking skills or experience the life of a catering professional, possibly as a chalet host or chef on a yacht, this course is for you.
Our teachers have extensive experience working in the catering industry and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Most of the tuition you receive will be "hands-on" - class sizes are small so that we can keep the teaching as practical as possible.
Everything we do is underpinned by a desire to promote food that has been grown in a way that is sustainable, environmentally sensitive, ethical and supportive of local business." - Julie Hudson Founder Quaycuisine.com
